Your First Car
On a different website, someone in their blog had the idea of telling everyone what their first car was and any memories of that first car. I liked the idea so much, I've decided to include it in my blog.
My first car was a 1978 Datsun 200SX (as you can see above). It was the exact same color as the one above - a lovely orange-red rusty color. I bought it for a hundred bucks from my stepdad's co-worker; it was well worth the cost.
I don't have very many memories of that first car, because it only lasted a year. I really liked that car a lot, though. It had some pretty good accelerating powers in it, and it was a decent car overall. Like I said, it only lasted a year, though. I was driving to a church basketball game, when all of a sudden black smoke started pouring out of the heating vents and the engine. I busted a gasket or something. Well, that was it for that car, and I was back to borrowing my stepdad's blue Nissan Sentra, definitely not as cool as the good ol' 200SX.
What about you? What about your first car?

First car - hmmm? Oh yea, a gray RX-7. Cute little thing. Can't remember what year but the floor board was so rusted by the time we got rid of it, my dad tried jack my car up to change the tire and the rim bent. Yea, we decided to 'trade' it in.
Second car - a red Z-24. It was pretty cool then. I thought I was happenin'. HA! I was in my early 20's by then and no kids.
Third car - Nissan Maxima (yep, the same one I have now). Had to trade it in because a 2 door wouldn't do with kids. So much for stylin'. Comfort and ease was on the agenda. Wonder what my 4th will be????
My first car was a 1978 Cutlass Supreme. I bought it from my grandmother for four our five hundred bucks. I drove it for about 3 years until my brother wrecked it into a telephone poll about a month after he got his license. Good car but today it would be a headache, only getting about 12 miles per gallon.
The first car I drove was my dad's 1973 LTD ..boat! The first car I owned was a 1982 Datsun 310 I loved that car It was royal blue and my brother-in-law installed a nice stereo in it for me It was a stick shift I had it for 4 yrs then I married a Chevrolet car salesman who decided that I needed to buy American so I had a white cavalier just like I have now :)
My first and only: Jeep Cherokee '93. It's broken down about three times, but somehow it always comes back to life. The stereo is broken, the right headlight is out, the back window wiper fluid sprays out in an arch, the doors don't shut right, and sometimes i hope someone will steal it.
My stepdad had a Jeep Cherokee - until he hit a deer.
1985 2-Door Nissa Sentra. Bought it in 1987 and drove it for 6 years. The only really fond memory I have of that car (other than it being my first) was a first date with a young woman at church wheny I was in college. My "friends" from CBC followed us to the movie theater. Not only did they leave a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 and string cheese on the passenger's seat, they also Saran Wrapped the doors.
Good times!
1978 Toyota Celica GT...man...I loved that car.
1968 Chevy Impala..... Can we say LOWRIDER?
FFEJ, that sounds like something we C.B.C. boys would do.
Long live 4 North, the Joseph-Nation.
