I'm not a big fan of Walmart. Most people who know me would know that. Although my dislike of Wal-Mart started several years ago, this article in Harper's Magazine really cemented it for me. I try not to shop there, although sometimes you just have to when there aren't any other options.
Anyway, I thought this demonstration of how Wal-Mart has spread through the good ol' U.S. of A throughout the years is pretty indicative of the virus that Wal-Mart has become.

I don't like Walmart or Meijers. I try to support the independent places such as Dorothy Lane Market and IGA and Springboro Hardware. I've had patients who work for Walmart and they pay them crappy wages and they have crappy healthcare coverage!
